  7. Just saw this and am excited to be one of the BOM’s this month, along with Joy. BTW congratulations to you, Joy! Many thanks to the club and Nonnie for this honor! Its so nice to be a member of a club where you feel like someone actually cares about your writing and you can return the favor. That being said, I have SO many reads to catch up on Joy, yours among them. I promise to get going! Thanks again!!

    1. Thank you, Pat! I’m still in a lovely state of shock, delight and surprise. I enjoyed your book discussion last week, but for some reason, my Zoom connection stopped before the end of your book discussion. Nevertheless, I found your comments about Nadu very insightful:-)

      I am just getting around to this board. It is very busy here in my home because of repairmen. Just want to say I so enjoyed talking with you and Wanda. I enjoyed the books. The stories touch on the relevance of having both eyes open to what is truly going on in the world, and it was a pleasure for me.

  38. Congratulations, Wanda and Yvette, for being featured for the January Books of the Month. “Handprints” was a haunting book about two women who form a friendship in a mental institution. I loved the idea that one of the women called herself Edna St. Vincent Millay, a poet who was the voice for feminism activism. I’ve also downloaded “Hype” and have put it on my reading list for January.

I’ll be on the road a lot this summer, so I hope to read them both. I’m finishing one book now and then have one other book to read before I get to yours. 🙂
