  1. Hello everyone. I just completed my 4-Star review of THE FAIRY GARDEN by Maura Beth Brennan. Here it is in its entirety:

How many of you remember those fairy tales told to us by grandparents and parents? At the time, we all believed.

In THE FAIRY GARDEN by Maura Beth Brennan, young Sara learns and believes in garden fairies who sleep in the tulips during the night. She was told by grandma that if she was lucky enough to spot one, it would have to grant her a wish. This became her quest, especially after overhearing her parents discuss the fact that Sara was adopted. She was devastated and angry for not learning this earlier. And now, it was especially important for her to meet her real mother. This was her wish!

Years later when attending college, Sara learns that her birth mother, a fledging artist, would be in town for a show. Sara pulls out all the stops to finally meet her and hopes they become instant friends.

Sara’s wish is granted, but the outcome is not what she expected. Buy the book to find out what happened.

The short story flowed well and without formatting errors or typos. I’ve read many of this author’s works and have enjoyed them all. Highly recommended – especially for those who may have been adopted.
