Bio:  My name is Beem Weeks, a 50-something-year-old indie author of several short stories, poems, essays, and the historical fiction/coming-of-age novel, Jazz Baby. I have recently released a short story collection entitled Slivers of Life. A divorced father of two grown children, I have lived in Florida and Georgia, though I now call Michigan home.  I have been writing since childhood. As a teenager and young adult, I wrote concert and record reviews for a small publication. Journalism had been my intended field, but all that changed with the publication of a short story that eventually led to my first novel. I enjoy indie films, loud music, and a well-told story.
