  1. Hi Joy. Sorry I’m so late to your interview. My apologies.

Joy I’m not keen for Trump to become president again either. He is responsible for the January 6th Insurrection. That’s a crime against the United States! Our very democracy. Racism is one of my pet peeves as well. I don’t understand the logic of it except it is pure evil. Also, I did read your very first book “Figs, Vines and Roses” and enjoyed it very much.

Joy, you are the kindest person I know and it’s a joy to work with you; and I love some of your stories. Just learning about your culture is very interesting.

Thank you Nonnie, for interviewing Joy. I enjoyed it.

  2. Joy, you are delightful and your sparkling personality shines in your interview! By the way, I loved “Pussycat Tales.”

Nonnie, your interviews are never dull! Thank you for helping us get to know Joy a bit better.

  3. Hi, Joy!

What a lovely interview! I enjoyed your answers to Nonnie’s questions, and it was a pleasure to hear you laugh. RRBC has been a great help to me, too. Having a critique partner is a wonderful help while writing. It’s also a great lesson in both accepting criticism graciously and delivering it with just as much grace. We are all learning and growing, and there is no perfect author bar one, the One who created us and gave us his Word. Keep writing!

    Blessings!

  4. Hello ladies!

Joy, thank you for including me in your interview. To answer your question, Army soldiers spent twelve months in Vietnam unless they were career soldiers. Draftees spent twenty-four months in the Army and training normally lasted six months. So their remaining time was spent in a stateside base working within their military specialty. The career soldiers normally returned for a second twelve-month tour after a gap of about one year to eighteen months. Some of them actually served three tours during the war.

Thank you for your kind words about Cherries.

Joy, when I find mistakes and make the author aware of them, it is hoped that corrections are made to improve the quality of the book. You are not alone as other RRBC members can attest to getting similar feedback from me. Additionally, other RRBC authors have also let me know when they found errors in my books.

Thanks again for thinking about me. I’m looking forward to reading about Archie in the near future. / John

p.s. I love you, too, Joy! Have a great week!

    1. Hi John, I so hoped you would not be offended. You are an excellent writer and we all know Nonnie makes sure we don’t praise unless it’s due. In my RRBC experience the books I read by RRBC members have always good.
